Leighton Linslade Allotment Association Initiatives
The Association is currently working on the following initiatives
Two more water troughs at Weston Avenue to replace the switched off standpipes - Complete.
Supporting the proposal to keep bees at Weston Avenue - The Town Council is currently not in favour of bee keeping on the allotments but this is a subject that is likely to be looked at again in the future.
Adding the requirement to fit a water butt or butts when permission is given to put a shed.
Using the town council grant for a shed to put a shed up at Alwins Field rather that the originally intended Weston Avenue. This is because the plots on the extension at Alwins Field are too small for sheds - Complete
Modifying the ban on bonfires to allow incinerators but still not allow open fires.
Additional watertroughs at Alwins Field in the extension - Complete.
Work mornings to clear vacant plots - Complete. First one was 16th Nov 2014
